renewable-heat-premium-payment You may have heard of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Scheme which provides businesses and the public sector with cash back for the generation of renewable heat. The scheme encourages commercial, industrial and public sector users to replace their fossil fuel heating systems such as oil, gas and coal burners with renewable technologies such as ground source heat pumps, solar panels and biomass boilers. Currently, the RHI scheme is not open to households but there is an alternative for homeowners – the Renewable Heat Premium Payment.
